Not Anymore 05:05
What would happen if society Gave up this stupid American dream? We've fallen prey to a madman's schemes Brainwashed out of sobriety The rich stay rich, and the poor stay poor Nothing's changed, what are you waiting for? The only way we'll get what we're owed Is when that fucking WHITE HOUSE EXPLODES! All of our liberties Fueled by constant war We thrived on trickery But not anymore! We tried to be polite Just to be ignored We didn't want to fight But not anymore! It's us or them, now make a choice It's time for violence to become your voice This house of cards is about to fall It's going to be the end for us all Chorus *Instrumental* Chorus Not anymore! x3 Not any, not anymore!

Fight Back 05:48
My respect won’t be bought and they will not control me They can’t change my thoughts or all I choose to believe Mesmerized by the death and destruction around us All these sheep are so blind and distracted by justice (Open your eyes) (Keep the truth from us) for no longer (We will fight back) and destroy our true enemy (There is no justice) We can change that (Don’t run, don’t hide) It’s time to attack Fight! Fight back! Fight! Just fight back! Wars created for nothing but manipulation Pestiferous hands reaching out through damnation And all these false fucking flags fly for nothing but greed The past comes anew, nocent works overseas (Open your eyes) (Keep the truth from us) for no longer (We will fight back) and destroy our true enemy (There is no justice) We can change that (Don’t run, don’t hide) It’s time to attack Chorus War - there is no peace Death - fuels tyranny Kill - the puppeteers Their hands - won’t set us free You will see The price we pay for liberty No justice now Set me free War - there is no peace Death - fuels tyranny We should kill - the puppeteers Their fucking hands - won’t set us free Fight! Fight back! Fight! Fight back! Fight! Just fight back! (x3) Right now!

(End) of man's evolution; Mother Earth raped by pollution. (Rend) the seas and the sky. We’ve sealed our fate, yet still deny. (Dense) miasmic atmosphere, there's no air left to breathe. (Immense) global devastation driven by foolish greed. Acid rain Ozone wanes Forests maimed Can’t abate Blighted fate At hell's gate The only way to make it out alive: Restore the planet that we compromised. Until we dismiss our avarice, This is the end… Extinction! (Pray) to a god that doesn’t care. We all helped create this living nightmare! (Pay) the price for our material lust. Angels look down with stern disgust. (Ice) freezes the amazon; all ecosystems laid to waste. (Twice) banished from our paradise, humanity disgraced. Oils blaze Toxic haze Landscapes razed We've succumb Death has won Perdition The only way our species can survive: Introspect and learn to coincide. Until we decimate our hate, This is the end… Extinction! THIS… IS…EXTINCTION!!! Open your eyes, we are all the same; all of our liberties can be saved. The only way to rekindle the flame is with love, truth, unity, and change!

about

Capitol Punishment is the second EP release from Colorado heavy metal group, Immortal Sÿnn. It was recorded at The Spot Studios in Lakewood, CO with producers Rich Veltrop and Glenn Sawyer. The EP sees the group move in an even heavier direction than its predecessor, Machine Men, and lightyears from their first release - the Barfly EP - which owes more to hard rock on the musical spectrum.

Lyrically, like Machine Men before it, this record explores themes of individuality, self-determination, and government corruption. The music on Capitol Punishment draws its influences from thrash artists such as Exodus, Megadeth, and Slayer; as well as from NWOBHM heavyweights such as Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, and Motörhead. The opposing guitar styles of Miguel Ruíz and Tony Z combine John Petrucci-like technicality with the directness and attitude of guitarists such as Tony Iommi and Ritchie Blackmore. A solid rhythm section in drummer Axel Berrios and bassist Andrew Cope drives the record’s 20-minute aural assault from the fade-in of “Not Anymore” to the final cymbal crashes in “Extinction (M.S.T.)”.

With the departure of long-time vocalist Chase McClellan, Drew and Miguel try their hand at lead vocals for the first time. Miguel gives a performance almost reminiscent of later-era David Draiman on "Not Anymore" and "Fight Back", while Drew gives a vocal performance similar to GWAR on "Japanese Sky". On the closing track, "Extinction (M.S.T.)", the two trade off on vocal duties. While Miguel retains his Disturbed-like tone, Drew switches it up and gives an abrasive thrash-bordering-on-black-metal delivery.

The album cover, a reference to a line in "Not Anymore", was custom created by Moon Ring Design.
